Dr. Westley Carter, D.O.

Dr. Westley Carter is a dermatologist and the founder of Carter Dermatology. Before pursuing medicine, Dr. Carter served our country with distinction as a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States/Oklahoma Army National Guard. He completed two combat tours in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom, serving as a physician assistant and earning the Bronze Star Medal for his service.
After completing his military career of 29 years, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his rotating internship at Sampson Regional Medical Center in Clinton, North Carolina. He went on to complete his dermatology residency training at Northeast Regional Medical Center/Still OPT in Kirksville, Missouri. Dr. Carter is currently advancing his expertise in skin cancer treatment by pursuing board certification in Mohs micrographic surgery.
Dr. Carter is passionate about delivering expert, compassionate care in both medical and surgical dermatology. He is dedicated to providing the highest standard of skin care to patients of all ages and skin types.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Carter enjoys running, playing guitar, studying history and the Bible, and golf.
Married to Aimee Carter, a physical therapist, and together they have three children.
